Since we know for sure Einstein was extremely right, for all practical purposes we must conclude interstellar travel of massive living objects such as humans is virtually impossible. So far, notions of “wormholes” and “time travel” through macroscopic space time are just imaginative science fiction fantasy, for which there is zero evidence of actual existence. (In the invisible sub-quantum world, tiny time displacements might actually prevail, but if they do, they don’t translate to any practical bulk effect in the macrocosmic world.)

Enrico Fermi asked the right question about space aliens and interstellar
travel. “Where are they?” We should suppose they are out there by the
trillions, but they don’t know how to travel at superluminal speeds that violate
the principles of General Relativity. “They” aren’t here because they can’t get
here. The logical corollary is that we can’t get there either.

Eventually, baring catastrophic extinction, likely with the next couple of centuries, man will leave Planet Earth and establish permanent self-sufficient solar-powered colonies in space, but he is going to do that at very subluminal speeds in or near the vicinity of the star known as Sol. Until AI robots and future space habitats are developed, mankind must try to respect and maintain the only nest it has. Mankind will never escape the mess it makes of Earth by traveling to the stars. Billions of years ago, countless intelligent races arose throughout the galaxy. For billions of years, these races have been working on the interstellar travel problem. Take note that they are not here yet.
